A wrap of all the weekend’s IPL action involving South African players.

Quinton de Kock made 23 at the top of the order as the Lucknow Super Giants claimed a narrow win over the Delhi Capitals on Sunday.

It followed the Proteas opener’s top score of 46 off 37 balls, including four fours and two sixes, in Friday’s 20-run victory for Lucknow against the Punjab Kings.

SA speedster Kagiso Rabada impressed for Punjab with figures of 4-38.

Proteas all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius took 1-40 as the Chennai Super Kings beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs on Sunday.

Aiden Markram chipped in with 17 for Hyderabad, but left-arm paceman Marco Jansen failed to pick up a wicket.

David Miller played his finisher role to perfection in the Gujarat Titans’ six-wicket win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday.

Needing 171 to win, Gujarat were in trouble at 95-4 in the 13th over before David Miller (39* off 24 balls) put on an unbeaten stand of 79 with Rahul Tewatia to power the Titans home with three balls to spare.

It was a disappointing outing for Bangalore skipper Faf du Plessis, who was dismissed for a duck.
