Twenty-year-old Shane Dadswell scored 490 runs for NWU Pukke against Potch Dorp XI in a 50-over club game on Saturday.

According to WebSports, the wicketkeeper-batsman took just 151 balls to reach the massive total as he smacked an astonishing 57 sixes and 27 fours.

The highest score in List A cricket was previously held by Ali Brown, who hit 268 for Surrey. The highest ODI score in history was 264 by Rohit Sharma against Sri Lanka.

Dadswell almost doubled this with an exquisite knock.
