India have won the toss and decided to bat in the fourth ODI against the Proteas at the Wanderers.

India thumped the Proteas by 124 runs at Newlands on Wednesday. The visitors come into the fourth ODI at the Wanderers needing one more victory to clinch the six-game series.

PREVIEW: SA vs India (4th ODI)

The good news for the Proteas is that AB de Villiers has recovered from a finger injury and will feature in today’s contest. India’s wrist spinners have dominated the first three matches, claiming 21 of the 28 South African wickets. They may not have everything their own way at the Wanderers, though.

De Villiers is one of the finest players of spin bowling in world cricket. He has an outstanding record at the Wanderers, having scored 706 runs (at an average of 100.85) in 11 ODIs.

De Villiers comes in for Khaya Zondo, while veteran fast bowler Morne Morkel replaces leg-spinner Imran Tahir.

At the toss, Virat Kohli said that India are hoping to take advantage of the good batting conditions and post a big total.

Interestingly, Proteas skipper Aiden Markram said that he may have decided to bowl first if the coin had fallen in his favour. Markram suggested that the Proteas would rather chase a target set by the opposition.

India have made one forced change with Shreyas Iyer coming in for Kedah Jadhav, who injured a hamstring in the third ODI.
