World Sports Betting Western Province secured a bonus point victory over AET Tuskers and lost to log leaders, Dafabet Warriors as the CSA T20 Challenge continued this past week.

A summary of last week’s results:

AET Tuskers vs World Sports Betting Western Province – WSB Newlands, Cape Town

Edward Moore (101) batted his way to a maiden T20 century for World Sports Betting Western Province at the WSB Newlands on Wednesday.

Moore’s knock, comprising of 11 boundaries and 4 maximums paved the way for Province’s commanding 48-run victory over AET Tuskers.

Supported ably by Wayne Parnell, who contributed a solid 46, and Kyle Verreynne’s unbeaten 23, Western Province set a formidable target of 209 runs.

Despite Kagiso Rapulana’s valiant effort with a half-century, scoring 60 off 43 deliveries, Tuskers fell short, managing to reach only 160/7 by the end of their innings, with Keith Dudgeon holding firm with an unbeaten 35.

Mbulelo Budaza was the standout bowler for Tuskers, returning three crucial wickets.

On the other hand, Kyle Simmonds and promising talent from South Africa Under-19s, Juan James, each claimed two wickets for Western Province.

World Sports Betting Western Province vs Dafabet Warriors – Boland Park, Paarl

The Dafabet Warriors continued their remarkable run in the 2023/24 T20 Challenge by winning an incredible eighth match in a row after crushing World Sports Betting Western Province by nine wickets in Paarl on Sunday.

Bowling first in the early game after losing the toss, the Warriors’ bowlers restricted Province to 142/7 with two wickets each for Nealan van Heerden (2/25) and Alfred Mothoa (2/36).

Geoge Linde (30) top-scored with starts for plenty others, all of whom failed to kick on as the log-leaders took control.

In reply, Jiveshan Pillay (31) and Breetzke (62* off 48 balls, 5 fours, 2 sixes) put on 80 for the first wicket, before a marauding 20-ball 47* by Beyers Swanepoel, who clobbered six sixes, saw the Warriors charge to victory with 3.3 overs to spare.
