Orlando Pirates captain Nkosinathi Sibisi admits the disappointment of their MTN8 final defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns will be difficult to overcome.
The Buccaneers have reigned supreme for the past four years in the top-eight competition.
However, their four-year dominance in the top-eight competition came to an end after their 2-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Sibisi believes Pirates can take positives from their performance, with the players having given everything on the pitch, even if it was not enough to secure the trophy.
“A difficult one to take you know,” Sibisi told Orlando Pirates TV.
“Very, very difficult. It’s going to be a very painful week for us.
“But we have to move on, we still have more games coming.
“I think we can still build from the performance, the boys left everything on the field, but it was just not meant to be.”
