The Orlando Amstel Arena is set to host Bafana Bafana’s opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea on Saturday, September 26.
South Africa’s opening qualifier will see newly appointed head coach Pitso Mosimane in the dugout for the first time since taking over from Hugo Broos.
Bafana will welcome Guinea to the Orlando Amstel Arena before facing Eritrea at the Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday, 30 September.
Mosimane’s side will then take on rivals Egypt in an international friendly match set to take place at the at Cairo International Stadium on 4 October.
“We encourage families and fans to come in their numbers to support the team as we begin this new era under coach Pitso Mosimane,” SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan said.
