Bafana Bafana are set for a showdown with Egypt in an international friendly to be played at Cairo International Stadium next month.

The international friendly between Bafana and Egypt is expected to take place on October 4, with kick-off set for 20:00.

This friendly is expected to take place after South Africa’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea and Eritrea.

Mosimane believes the encounter will go beyond football, describing the highly anticipated clash as a celebration of the strong bond between the two nations.

“The match between Bafana Bafana and Egypt will be brotherhood,” Mosimane told SAFA.

“We are looking forward to once again seeing our brothers and sisters, we cannot wait for this match.”
