Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos admits he is still undecided about his future after South Africa’s impressive FIFA World Cup campaign.

Under Broos, Bafana enjoyed a historic and memorable World Cup campaign, in which they made it to the Round of 32 for the first time in their history.

Despite South Africa’s journey coming to an end with a narrow last 32 defeat to Canada, Bafana earned praise for exceeding expectations, silencing critics and cementing their place among the tournament’s surprise packages.

South Africa’s World Cup run further enhanced Broos’ legacy as one of South Africa’s most successful national team coaches.

Broos has revealed that he will take the coming days to reflect before making a final decision on whether to retire from coaching.

“I will see, we will take the decision in the next days,” Broos said when asked about whether or not he is going to retire.

“It was a nice World Cup. It will not be an easy decision. Saying it now if I stay or go, I can’t say now.”
