Bafana Bafana forward Tshepang Moremi says the job is far from done, with the full focus now shifting to their World Cup Round of 32 clash against Canada.

South Africa secured a place in the FIFA World Cup knockout stages for the first time in their history, following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Korea Republic that cemented their status among the tournament’s emerging contenders.

Moremi provided the assist for Thapelo Maseko’s 62nd-minute winner as Bafana Bafana sealed a second-place finish in Group A.

Moremi says he is filled with pride and gratitude after helping South Africa make history on the world stage, describing the achievement as the result of hard work and resilience.

“I feel incredibly proud and blessed,” Moremi told FIFA.

“We’ve made history. It wasn’t easy, but I’m thrilled we pulled it off. Our focus now turns to winning the next match: we know we can do it.”
