England manager Thomas Tuchel has spoken openly about the pressure and emotions surrounding his squad as they prepare to take on Ghana in their next World Cup match.
The Three Lions got their World Cup campaign off to a great start after claiming a 4-2 victory over Croatia in their opening Group L fixture.
England will be hoping to continue their winning run when they take on Ghana at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Tuchel insists that his experienced group of players are capable of coping with the intensity and turning it into performance on the pitch.
“There are emotions involved and you can at some point feel the tension and feel the pressure. I hope we can cope with it, accept it and turn it around,” Tuchel said.
“I heard also a lot about it and I feel of course the excitement and the pressure, but I feel that we have so many winners and so many players who are experienced to cope with the pressure.”
