Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with his side’s all-round display following their victory over Haiti at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The Brazilian side secured their first victory in Group C following their 3-0 victory over Haiti.

A first-half double from Matheus Cunha and a goal from Vinicius Junior saw Brazil walk away with the win and all three points in Pennsylvania.

Ancelotti praised the team’s quality, attacking efficiency and defensive solidity while insisting there is still room for improvement ahead of the World Cup knockout stages.

“It was a complete match, much better in the first half. In the second half we had more control, but we created plenty of chances and could have scored more goals,” Ancelotti told reporters.

“It was what we expected from this game: better quality, fewer mistakes, more effectiveness in attack and more control at the back.”

“In terms of intensity it was a good match. Obviously we still have to improve, and we will improve to be ready for the knockout stage.”
