Kaizer Chiefs have announced their first signing after completing a move for former Stellenbosch FC defender Thabo Moloisane ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The 27-year-old arrives at the club as a free agent after parting ways with Stellenbosch FC.
Moloisane came through the academy ranks at Mamelodi Sundowns before he moved to All Stars. He later went on to join Maritzburg United before eventually moving to Stellies.
The Soweto-born defender has now become Amakhosi’s first signing ahead of the 2026-27 season.
“Kaizer Chiefs are delighted to announce the arrival of Thabo Moloisane for the upcoming season,” Chiefs said in a statement.
“Born in Meadowlands, Soweto, the defender joins us from Stellenbosch FC, where made an impressive 115 appearances over three seasons. Primarily a centre-back, Moloisane’s quality and consistency earned two national team call-ups during his time in the Western Cape.
“Importantly, he brings valuable experience of African competition, having featured in the Confederation Cup. His continental pedigree will be key for Amakhosi as the team returns to CAF competition for another season.
“He will link up with the Glamour Boys when the squad returns for pre-season training.
“We extend a warm welcome to Thabo and look forward to seeing him in the Gold & Black colours of Amakhosi.”
