The United States made the perfect start to their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, cruising to a convincing 4-1 victory over Group D rivals Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday morning.

A double from Folarin Balogun and goals from Damián Bobadilla and Giovanni Reyna cancelled out Maurício Magalhães Prado as they walked away with all three points.

The win takes the United States up to first place in Group D with three points, while Paraguay are placed at the bottom of the table after the defeat.
