Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has announced his 32-man preliminary squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The South African national team were drawn in Group A alongside hosts Mexico, the Czech Republic and South Africa.

Bafana are set to face Mexico in the opening fixture of the World Cup, which takes place at the Estadio Azteca on 11 June.

South Africa will begin their training camp with 24 players, while the Mamelodi Sundowns squad members and overseas-based contingent remain unavailable due to club commitments abroad.

Broos will announce his final team that will go to the World Cup at the Sefako Makgatho Presidential Guest House in Pretoria on Wednesday, May 27.
