Orlando Pirates captain Nkosinathi Sibisi says his side has ‘no reason not to believe’ in winning the Betway Premiership title.

The Buccaneers were held to a goalless draw by Durban City in their final home fixture of the season, forcing the two sides to settle for a share of the spoils.

The result leaves Pirates second in the Betway Premiership standings on 66 points from 29 matches, two points adrift of leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Pirates will have one final opportunity to clinch the league title when they face Orbit College in their last match of the season on Saturday.

“Look, we are still there, we are still within our objectives. We shouldn’t doubt because there is no reason to doubt,” Sibisi told his club’s media team.

“The performance today shows we wanted to win but unfortunately it wasn’t enough for us.

“We’ll go back and keep on working. We have a final game against Orbit (College), there is no reason not to believe.

“We would’ve loved to end the season at home with three points, but as I said, it wasn’t meant to be, but we tried and it wasn’t for a lack of trying.

“The boys kept fighting until the very last whistle but we take the points and we move.”
