Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Nuno Santos has expressed his desire to help the Brazilians lift the CAF Champions League trophy ahead of the first leg of the final against FAR Rabat.
The Brazilians are set to host the Moroccan side at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday in the first leg of the continental showdown.
The Tshwane giants will then head to the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah in Rabat for the return leg.
Sundowns will be eager to return to winning ways after suffering a 3-2 defeat to TS Galaxy in their midweek Betway Premiership clash.
Santos says reaching the CAF Champions League final with Mamelodi Sundowns has reaffirmed one of the main reasons he joined the club.
“It feels very good. That was one of the main reasons for me to come to Mamelodi Sundowns – to win the Champions League,” Santos told the media.
“Being in the final is part of that process, so it’s very good.
“It’s very competitive. We have played in four or five different countries, and every game is different.
“Every opponent has its own style of play, but at the same time, it makes us grow. It’s a competition that is very good for the players, and hopefully we can get it this year.”
