Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has expressed his concerns about managing their congested fixture list both domestically and continentally.
The Brazilians are set to face TS Galaxy in their next Betway Premiership fixture, set to take place at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday.
Sundowns will then take on FAR Rabat in the CAF Champions League final first leg at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday.
Cardoso has voiced his concerns about his players picking up injuries given their busy fixture schedule.
“It was also important to understand there was a moment I had to manage the team — the team dropped when we made subs, the players on the pitch were at their limit,” Cardoso told SuperSport TV after the game.
“We will play in three days, in four days we play Champions League, after the TS Galaxy match and as much as I wanted there was a big risk of injuries.”
