Durban City were crowned Nedbank Cup champions after staging a comeback 2-1 victory over TS Galaxy at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Rockets took the lead in the 43rd minute after Jean Lwamba found the back of his own net before Durban City levelled matters through Mfanafuthi Mkhize in the 58th minute.

Lwamba went from villain to hero when he found the back of the net in the 71st minute to complete Durban City’s comeback.

Durban City made history and went on to secure the win and claim their first-ever Nedbank Cup title at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane.
