Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze admits his side ‘lacked a bit of composure in the final third’ in their draw against Polokwane City.
The Glamour Boy’s winning run came to an end after they were forced to settle for a goalless draw against Rise and Shine at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane.
The draw sees Amakhosi remain in third position in the Betway Premiership standings with 46 points from 24 matches.
Kaze reflected on a tightly contested away performance, noting that his side were in control for large spells but lacked composure in key moments in the final third.
“I believe that first half we were better in the game and probably we lacked a little bit composure in the final third, that last pass, that instead of taking an extra touch, playing one-touch, maybe take a shot quickly than how it should be,” Kaze told SuperSport TV after the match.
“We knew that Polokwane they were going to defend and try to catch us on the transitions with a lot of long balls that’s how they were, probably in the second half at the end I believe we lost a little bit of control of the game and we allowed them to get confident, to get into situations of crosses, situations of transitions which they liked.
“But you know it’s a good point away from home and now we’re going to focus on the next game.”
