Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has confirmed that captain and goalkeeper Brandon Petersen will soon return to the team.

Petersen has enjoyed an impressive campaign with Amakhosi after keeping 15 clean sheets in 27 appearances across all competitions.

However, his campaign was cut short after he picked up an injury in February, missing out on five matches.

Ben Youssef has since revealed that the Amakhosi shot-stopper will return to the squad soon following his recovery.

“Yeah, Petersen was with the physio.

“I have to say thank you for the medical staff, they prepare him.

“And last weeks he was with the coaches, he’s working and I think soon he’ll be back with the team.”
