Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has warned his side against complacency ahead of their cup clash against Casric Stars in the Nedbank Cup.
The Buccaneers are set to welcome Casric Stars to the Orlando Stadium when they meet in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16.
Pirates will look to bounce back after Mamelodi Sundowns ended their 14-match unbeaten run in all competitions following their 2-1 defeat in the Betway Premiership on Wednesday.
Ouaddou emphasised that the Nedbank Cup encounter demands full commitment, noting that underestimating lower-division opposition could prove costly.
“We know that Casric Stars is a very competitive team, playing in the (First Division) championship. They have demonstrated their capabilities this season, scoring 20 goals while only conceding 15,” Ouaddou told SuperSport.
“It is essential for us to take this game seriously. A so-called small team can challenge you if you don’t put in the effort or the commitment and seriousness.”
Kick-off has been set for 18:00.
