Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebohang Maboe is optimistic about their chances of progressing to the next phase of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Amakhosi are scheduled to face Egyptian giants Zamalek SC on Saturday when the two sides meet at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo.
The Glamour Boys come into this fixture sitting at the top of the Group D standings on 10 points after five matches played.
The Soweto giants will only need a draw to book their place in the next round of the competition, with Zamalek on eight points, Al Masry on seven and ZESCO United on three points.
“These are the type of games I came here to play. When you sign for a big team, you want to be in hostile environments, where the odds are stacked against you,” Maboe told his club’s official website.
“Once you step onto the pitch, the crowd doesn’t matter and what matters is focusing on your job and putting the team through.
“We’ll need one another, we’ll need to pull in the same direction, but we’ve got strong leaders and a strong team. If we work together, I don’t see us not qualifying.”
