Bafana Bafana midfielder Mihlali Mayambela has parted ways with Cypriot First Division outfit Aris Limassol FC.
Mayambela joined the club from Portuguese League 2 side SC Farense during the 2022-23 season.
The 29-year-old has since gone on to score 19 goals while registering 15 assists in 125 appearances across all competitions.
The Bafana Bafana midfielder also won two trophies during his time at the club, including the Cypriot First Division title and the Cypriot Super Cup trophy.
“Aris and Mayambela concluded collaboration,” the club said in a statement.
“Aris Limassol FC announces the mutual termination of its agreement with South African winger Mihlali Mayambela.
“The 29-year-old forward joined the club in the summer of 2022 and played a key role in its historic achievements.
“During his time with Aris, Mayambela contributed to the team’s Cypriot First Division title, the Super Cup victory, and competed in the UEFA Europa League group stage.
“Over his three and a half years at the club, Mayambela made a total of 125 appearances across all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 15 assists.
“Aris Limassol expresses its sincere gratitude to Mihlali Mayambela for his valuable contribution to the club and wishes him every success in the next chapter of his career.”
