Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos believes his side are ready for their Africa Cup of Nations opener against Angola on Monday evening.

South Africa were drawn in Group B alongside the likes of Egypt, Angola and Zimbabwe.

The South African national team are set to face Angola in the AFCON opener when the two sides meet at the Stade de Marrakech.

The Belgian mentor says they have put in enough work to start the tournament on a positive note.

“We are very happy that we can start this tournament and play our first game tomorrow (Today),” Broos said.

“We all know that we will face a tough opponent (Angola), but I think that my team is ready.

“It is very important we win that first game. I think you make a big step for qualification for later or to survive the group stages.

“So again, we will try to win it and to put ourselves in a good position for the second game against Egypt.”
