Kaizer Chiefs forward Luke Baartman has opened up after making his debut for the Soweto giants.
The 19-year-old played his first game for Amakhosi since joining the club from Cape Town Spurs.
He came on as a substitute in the 80th minute to replace George Matlou, playing the final 10 minutes of the match.
The Glamour Boys went on to share the spoils with TS Galaxy after playing out to a goalless draw at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
Baartman has since reflected on making his debut for the famous Gold and Black jersey.
“It felt good to be back on the field and it was a proud moment for me to wear the Chiefs jersey,” Baartman told his club’s official website.
“After training hard for the past few months, it was rewarding to finally play for this great institution.
“Though it wasn’t easy, since I haven’t played for a while, I feel I contributed to the attack as we tried to unlock Galaxy’s defence.
“I wish our supporters happy festive holidays and a Merry Christmas. We look forward to seeing them in numbers again after the break as we resume our league and Confederation Cup campaigns.”
