Kaizer Chiefs coach Cedric Kaze has praised Lebohang Maboe’s performance against Zamalek SC in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Glamour Boys were forced to settle for a point after playing out to a 1-1 draw with Zamalek at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
The draw sees Amakhosi remain in third place in group D with one point, while Zamalek stay in second place with four points after two matches.
Maboe made his second appearance in the competition for Amakhosi and played the entire 90 minutes in the draw, and Kaze has praised his influence in the team.
“I believe that the whole team, they played very well they helped each other,” said Kaze.
“Maboe we know his technical qualities, a player that drives you forward. He’s a player that can find the players in very tight spaces.
“He had a very good game and he’s a player that drives the other players and you need a player that can level up the technical quality of the team.”
