Kaizer Chiefs coach Cedric Kaze has provided an update on the injury Gaston Sirino sustained against Zamalek on Saturday afternoon.

The Glamour Boys secured their first points in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages after claiming a 1-1 draw against the Algerian outfit.

A late own goal by Mohamed Sobhi cancelled out a third-minute opener by Seifeddine Jaziri at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

However, the Uruguayan attacker was stretchered off the field in the 19th minute after picking up an injury and was subsequently replaced by Mfundo Vilakazi.

“It was a knock and we’re going to assess him tonight and tomorrow to examine the extent of his injury, but I don’t think it’s something very big,” Kaze told SABC Sport.

The draw sees Amakhosi remain in third place in group D with one point, while Zamalek stay in second place with four points after two matches.
