Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cedric Kaze is hoping his side can redeem themselves when they take on Zamalek SC on Saturday.

The Glamour Boys got their CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign off to a slow start after falling to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Al Masry SC.

Aamkhosi will now take on the Egyptian outfit when they meet at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.

The Soweto giants will come into this fixture sitting in third place in Group D with zero points, while Zamalek are placed second on the table with three points after the first match.

“We didn’t start as well as we would have loved to in the previous game, but we still have five games to play,” said Kaze.

“Even though we lost, there were moments where we were good at what we wanted to do. We are very confident about tomorrow’s game.

“These are the matches that everyone wants to play, against big teams like Zamalek and it’s a good way for us to redeem ourselves.

“Everything comes with experience in how you manage a game. The second goal we conceded from a set-piece was unfortunate, and due to a technical mistake.

“We were good before that, but it taught us that we must be more clinical and more focused in both boxes. It’s a lesson we have taken forward.”
