The Proteas made history by securing their first Test series win in India in 25 years following their 408-run victory at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.

South Africa bowled India out for 140 as they chased a score of 549 on day five as the World test champions secured a 2-0 test series win.

The South Africans secured back-to-back wins over India and handed them their biggest home defeat.

Simon Harmer played a starting role in the win as he claimed figures of 6-37, while Senuran Muthusamy led the batting charge with a score of 109 to secure his maiden test century.
