Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Lucas Ribeiro has been nominated for the 2025 FIFA Puskás Award.

Ribeiro produced a stunning solo goal during their thrilling 4-3 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Brazilian’s solo goal against Dortmund also won the Goal of the Tournament at the FIFA Club World Cup.

His goal has been nominated for the prestigious award alongside 10 other players, including Lamine Yamal, Declan Rice, Alerrandro, Alessandro Deiola, Pedro de la Vega, Santiago Montiel, Amr Nasser, Carlos Orrantia, Rizky Ridho, and Kevin Rodrigues.
