Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he will retire from football in the next “one or two years”.

Ronaldo has scored 953 goals and 259 assists in 1296 appearances across all competitions throughout his career.

The Portuguese star has already been capped 225 times for the national team, while scoring 143 goals and registering 46 assists in the process.

The 40-year-old has since revealed that he plans to retire within the next one or two years, stating that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be his last.

“Definitely, yes,” Ronaldo told a Saudi forum by video link.

“I’m gonna be 41 years old and I think it will be the moment.

“Let’s be honest, when I mean soon, it’s probably one or two years I’ll still be at the game.”
