Barcelona legend Lionel Messi admits he would like to return to Camp Nou one day to say “goodbye.”
Messi left the Spanish giants in 2021 when he joined Paris Saint-Germain due to Barca’s financial problems.
The Argentine star scored a total of 672 goals and assisted a further 303 goals from 778 appearances across all competitions during his time for the Catalans.
Messi also won 34 trophies at Barca, including 10 La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup trophies, four Champions League titles, and three UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup trophies.
“Last night I returned to a place I miss with my soul,” Messi said on Instagram.
“A place where I was immensely happy, where you guys made me feel a thousand times the happiest person in the world.
“I hope one day I can return, and not just to say goodbye as a player, as I was never able to do…”
