Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mduduzi Shabalala says his side must continue their CAF competition form in their Betway Premiership clash against Durban City FC.

The Glamour Boys will face the Durban outfit in their next league fixture, which will take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday.

Amakhosi will enter this fixture having secured their place in the CAF Confederation Cup Group Stages following their 3-1 aggregate win over AS Simba in the second qualifying round.

Shabalala has urged his side to maintain their winning run into their next match after ending their winless run across all competitions.

“It was a great confidence booster for us to score three goals, and we will take that into the match against Durban City,” Shabalala told his club’s official website.

“For us, it is very important to get a good result in this match. We have been playing well, but haven’t converted our chances as we would want to.

“This is a good opportunity for us, as Kaizer Chiefs, to get back on track for a good season in the league. We just need to stick with what we are doing and turn the chance we create into goals.

“We will give them the respect they deserve for having a good start to the season, but our main focus is on ourselves and what we want to achieve, which is to make sure to turn our good performances into results.”
