Kaizer Chiefs coach Cedric Kaze has reflected on their scoring woes following their goalless draw against Siwelele FC.
Amakhosi’s winless run in the Betway Premiership extended to four matches following their draw against Siwelele at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday.
The Glamour Boys have now failed to score in the last two matches after their goalless draw against AS Simba in the CAF Confederation Cup over the weekend.
Kaze admits it was a difficult game against tough opponents but felt they improved their performance compared to their previous match.
“It’s a tough week, with all the games every three days, it’s very hard to keep the consistency but I think overall the performance was good, not very good but was good. I feel like defensively we were a little bit unbalanced, we let the opponent get in the position of crossing, in position of boxes,” Kaze told SuperSport TV after the game.
“In this kind of games, we had the opportunities to score and you don’t have to play well every day but you just need to put the ball in the net and then wait for the next game.
“But unfortunately, we don’t seem to be enough clinical – you know be enough lucky in front of the net. But the only thing is to keep working and I’m pretty sure that it will come.”
“Football has its mysteries but even Siwelele when they are not well in the log, but you can see that it’s a team that has lost maybe every time 1-0 at the end things like that. It’s a team that defends very well I feel that, it’s a team that is very difficult to score against.
“But you know, we’re at home, we’re Kaizer Chiefs and we had the balls, opportunities to score, we were controlling the game and I think we had to do better.
