Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Thabo Cele is hoping his side can maintain their winning momentum in the Betway Premiership.
The Glamour Boys have extended their winning streak to three games following their 1-0 win over Richards Bay through a goal from Gaston Sirino at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The win sees Amakhosi move up to second place in the league standings with nine points from three matches.
Chiefs will now turn their focus to their upcoming Betway Premiership clash against Mamelodi Sundowns next Wednesday at the FNB Stadium.
“We were expecting that it was going to be a difficult game because Richards Bay are a very strong team,” Cele said
“They know how to defend so we had to be patient to get that goal and we needed that so much because each and every game we want to win.
“For me getting this (Man of the Match award), it’s not just for me; it’s a team effort.
“We do our job at the back and try and bring the team forward so that we can create opportunity.”
