Kaizer Chiefs right back Thabiso Monyane says he is optimistic about his side’s chances heading into their next Betway Premiership clash against Polokwane City.

The Glamour Boys got their campaign off to a positive start after they secured a 2-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC at Athlone Stadium on Sunday.

Amakhosi will be looking for their second consecutive win when they welcome Polokwane City to the FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Monyane is confident that his side can walk away with all three points against Rise and Shine.

“As you know, my first job is to defend so I am very happy with my defensive teammates for the clean sheet,” Monyane told his club’s official website.

“For me, that’s a good day at the office. We aim to keep many more this season.

“We are an optimistic team and are looking to win every game. That is our objective. In football, nothing is guaranteed. We’ll take things as they come and give our best.”
