Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki says they have done their homework on Algeria ahead of their African National Champions encounter on Friday.
South Africa will open their account in the CHAN tournament when they take on Algeria in the first Group C encounter.
Bafana currently sit in third place on the log with no points, while Algeria are placed at the top of the table with three points from their first match.
Ntseki says his side are ready to take on Algeria after completing their preparations ahead of the match.
“We are talking about an Algeria that comes from the northern part of Africa,” Bafana coach Molefe Ntseki said.
“They have got their own style, their own culture, and their own way of playing, which might be different from (Group C rivals) Uganda, Guinea and Niger.
“In our preparations, like I said, we did our technical prioritisation, looking into our opponents, looking into their strengths and their weaknesses.
“I think they have done the same, and they will be doing the same, as much as we are playing our first game tomorrow.
“I think they have done their homework, because they saw us play in the qualifiers against Egypt, home and away, and against Malawi, home and away.”
