Mamelodi Sundowns striker Lucas Ribeiro Costa has expressed his gratitude towards the club after winning big at the PSL Awards.

Ribeiro walked away with the Footballer of the Season and Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season at the PSL Awards.

The 26-year-old also claimed the Betway Premiership Goal of the Season award for his superb goal against Orlando Pirates.

He was also named as the top goal scorer in the Betway Premiership after scoring 16 in 26 appearances during the 2024-25 season.

“It was an incredible season; I’m very happy to be nominated for ‘Top Goal Scorer’ as well as other awards such as Footballer of the Season and Players Player of the Season,” Ribeiro said.

“I’m very happy, thank you to my team, the players, the coach and the guys that voted for me, so thank you.

“I am very happy with my season, a very good season but I did not play alone. Thank you to my team; I am very happy.”
