Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has revealed that he has found a new position for star Cole Palmer following his exploits against Paris Saint-Germain.

Palmer played a starring role in helping Chelsea secure a 3-0 victory over PSG in the Club World Cup final at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

The England international walked away with the Michelob Ultra Superior Player of the Match award after scoring two goals in the match.

The 23-year-old also walked away with the Golden Ball award after he scored three goals and registered two assists in six matches.
“I have no words for the players. For me, we won the game in the first ten minutes,” Maresca said.
“We set the tempo, we knew the way we wanted to play. Today we found a position for Cole [Palmer] where there was more space to attack.
“The effort from all the players has been fantastic.”
