Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold says his side have to prepare for a ‘tough’ match against ‘exceptional’ Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup semi-finals.
The Spanish giants are set to go head-to-head with the French outfit when they meet at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Los Blancos will come into this fixture off the back of a 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-final of this competition.
Alexander-Arnold has praised the French giants for what they have achieved this season and knows they are in for a tough battle when they meet in the last four.
“I played against PSG this season and they were exceptional,” recalled the Englishman in a FIFA interview.
“Of course, it’ll be a tough game. Both teams have earned their place in the semi-finals, but in the knockout stages anything can happen.
“We’re going to go back now, recover, work hard and get ready for a tough match. May the best team win!”
Real Madrid against Paris Saint-Germain is set to kick-off at 9pm on Wednesday.
