Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo says his side will continue to show they can compete with the best teams in the world for the Club World Cup trophy.

The Blues booked their place in the quarter-finals after their 4-1 victory over Benfica in the last 16 encounter played at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

Chelsea will now square off against Brazilian side Palmeiras when the two sides meet at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Caicedo remained humble when accepting his Michelob Ultra Superior Player of the Match, stating that his teammates deserved the award.

“I’m very happy, very happy to help the team, and for the team’s performance as well,” said Caicedo to FIFA.

“If I could share the award with anyone, I would give it to each of one of my teammates, including the ones on the bench. They help us a lot, they push us on from afar, so the truth is that I would give it to everyone.”

“We are going to keep doing things well. Now we are in the quarter-finals and we’re going to keep showing we can do it.

“Winning the Club World Cup would mean a lot for us. We came into this having had a good season and now that we are here, we are doing very well.”
