South African winger Thembinkosi Lorch says his fellow countrymen have demonstrated their talent following their contributions at the Club World Cup.

Lorch played in all three group stage matches for the Moroccan side against Manchester City, Juventus and Al Ain.

The 31-year-old only managed to score one goal at the Club World Cup when he found the back of the net in their 4-1 defeat to Juventus.

Lorch has since reflected on his and his compatriot Cassius Mailula’s performance, while also reserving special praise for Mamelodi Sundowns for their efforts at the tournament.

“We have talent in South Africa. If you saw the Sundowns games, we have talent – we just need to show it more,” Lorch said.

“We need to show the world that we have good players in South Africa.”
