The 35-year-old netted his 250th goal for Bayern as they clinched a comfortable 10-0 victory over the Australian side in their Group C opener.
Muller scored two goals and was one of five players to find the back of the net for the German side at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati.

The victory takes Bayern up to first place in the group table with three points, while Auckland are placed last on the log with zero points after the first match.
Bayern will be hoping to continue their winning run when they take on Boca Juniors at the Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, June 21.
“The stadium was full, we had fans who were really into the game and reacted to the flow of play, especially celebrating the goals,” Muller said.
“After my last goal, I had a great moment celebrating with them. They were totally behind us. It was a lot of fun. All in all, a very good start.
“Sure, we were the favourites, but we lived up to that role. That’s how we want to keep going.”
