Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos was pleased with his side’s performance after they defeated Mozambique in an international friendly on Tuesday evening.

South Africa managed to secure a comfortable 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Sinoxolo Kwayiba and Ashley Cupido at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

The win saw South Africa extend their unbeaten run to 20 matches, having won 12 and drawn eight.

However, Broos felt that his side should have won by a bigger margin, especially with the chances they created in the final third.

“Today was a very good performance, we had so many chances. First half, we could easily be 3-0 for us. There was good ball circulation, much movement in the team. So yeah, I’m very happy with all the game, second half was also good,” Broos told SABC Sport.

“We did some corrections, Kwayiba was much better second half than the first half so yes I think we deserved the victory today.”
