Manchester United have agreed a deal with Wolves for the signing of Brazil forward Matheus Cunha.
The Brazilian is set to become Ruben Amorim’s first signing as he looks to rebuild his squad after finishing 15th in the Premier League during the 2024-25 season.
Cunha parts ways with Wolves after United activated his £62.5m release clause, subject to visa and registration.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder will sign a five-year contract and the club has the option to extend his stay for a further 12 months.
Cunha leaves Wolves after scoring 33 goals and registering 15 assists in 92 appearances across all competitions.
“Manchester United has reached agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signing of Matheus Cunha,” Man Utd said in a statement.
“The Brazilian forward’s signing is subject to visa and registration.
“The 26 year-old has 13 senior caps for Brazil, and, in his club career, has made 270 appearances and scored 72 goals in the English, Spanish, German and Swiss top flights.
