Amajita have been crowned champions of Africa following their 1-0 victory over Morocco in the final of the 2025 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

This was the South African U20 side’s first appearance in the final in 27 years, after they lost 1-0 to the same opponents in April 1997.

However, this time around, Amajita claimed all the glory after Gomolemo Kekana netted a stunning goal in the top corner to hand South Africa the win at the 20 June Stadium on Sunday.

There were questions asked about Kekana’s goal, as he was adjudged to be offside, but after VAR review, the goal was awarded, which saw Amajita secure their first-ever U20 AFCON trophy.
