Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane and two of his first-team analysts are currently furthering their football studies to obtain professional coaching licences.
According to the Brazilians, Mosimane is making time to study for separate courses, while the team is in camp and preparing for the restart of football.
Meanwhile, members of Mosimane’s technical team – performance analysts Musi Matlaba and Mario Masha – are also studying for their Uefa C Licences, hosted by the Scottish FA.
The Sundowns mentor and analysts will continue to attend lessons until they are awarded their respective football coaching licences.
Commenting on this, Mosimane said: ‘I’m in the company of other great coaches from the African continent. Earlier today’s presentation was done by Belgium’s national team head coach, Roberto Martinez,’ Mosimane told his club’s official website.
‘We got to understand how he worked to make the “Belgian Red Devils” the number-one ranked team in the world.’
Some of Africa’s finest and most successful coaches – from the likes of Raja Casablanca, AS Vita Club and FUS Rabat – are also part of the CAF Pro Licence, the first of its kind on the continent.
