Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas revealed that Siphiwe Tshabalala is still at the club despite reports linking him with a move to Turkish Super Lig club Erzurumspor, writes DEAN WORKMAN.

Reports began to surface on Wednesday evening that โ€˜Shabbaโ€™ could be on his way to Europe, but Solinas confirmed โ€• during his pre-match MTN8 semi-final against SuperSport United press conference โ€• that the midfielder is still at the club.

Solinas was quick to point out he didnโ€™t want to comment on the transfer but revealed the โ€˜massive respectโ€™ he has for the midfielder.

โ€˜I donโ€™t speak about the transfers of players, I only speak about the players who I have in the squad.

โ€˜Tshabalala was training with my team this morningโ€š as normal. Because when they are in Kaizer Chiefsโ€š I coach these players โ€“ no problem.

โ€˜But I canโ€™t speak about the transfer of players.โ€™

The coachโ€™s reaction to questions on the player has brought further doubt to the validity of the origin of the reports linking Tshabalala with a move.

With Shabba in contention to play against SuperSport United, the player, for the time being at least, looks to be staying at Naturena.
