Borussia Dortmund fans have offered stranded Monaco supporters accommodation after their Champions League match was postponed, following the bus explosion.

The Bundesliga side’s team bus was rocked by an explosion close to the Signal Iduna Park Stadium, which led to the postponement of the match until Wednesday.

Dortmund defender Marc Bartra had to be hospitalised, and underwent an operation after breaking the radial bone in his arm and getting bits of debris lodged in his hand as a result of the bomb attack.

The match postponement left many travelling supporters without a place to stay for the night. However, Dortmund fans came to their aid through a #bedforawayfans hashtag campaign.

Despite not having the defender for their quarter-finals first-leg clash, Dortmund captain Marcel Schmelzer sent his well wishes to the Spaniard on behalf of the team.

‘We’re all in shock and our thoughts are with Marc. We hope that he will make a speedy recovery,’ Schmelzer told the Borussia Dortmund website.

The match has now been rescheduled for 18:45.
