Kaizer Chiefs’ MDC coach Arthur Zwane want his side to finish the year on a high note ahead of their clash against Maritzburg United on Saturday.

The Chiefs reserve team currently sits 13th in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge standings with seven points from eight games after they defeat Chippa United’s reserve team in their previous league encounter.

Zwane says he is convinced that his side will give the Team of Choice a run for there money when the two sides meet at the Daveyton’s Sinaba Stadium this weekend.

‘A lot of their players are members of United’s first team squad,’ Zwane told his club’s official website.

‘They are a solid side. It will be an interesting match. We have mostly very young players. However, I am convinced that our boys will be able to compete come Saturday.

‘The Maritzburg match is the last in 2017, we want to finish the year on a high.’

Meanwhile, Zwane heaped praise on young forward Reamohetse Lekoatsa, who bagged a brace against the Chilli Boys in November.

‘Shimmy is a versatile attacker. He’s a great finisher, who can play both as a striker or a winger. He’s very good in taking defenders on,’ he added.

The match at the Daveyton’s Sinaba Stadium kicks off at 12:00.
